About Coco Tangalla

This utterly charming black and white villa in Tangalle offers guests sensational panoramic sea views of the Indian Ocean. The villa's infinity pool is delicately placed within the tropical gardens and blooming bougainvillea to really private guests with their very own piece of tropical paradise. The facilities and location of the Coco Tangalla offers guests the ultimate balance between true relaxation and cultural exploration of the country's beautiful southern coast.

The boutique hotel offers 6 rooms in a variety of layouts, offering versatility depending on guest preference and requirements. The rooms each differ in design, giving a sense of individuality as well as that more homely and welcoming feel for their treasured guests. The rooms are decorated with combinations of oriental silk and local fabrics, artwork, and furnishings, to highlight the culture and beauty of Sri Lanka.

The surrounding Southern coast consists of sleepy villages, agricultural-based households, a classic relaxed-paced lifestyle in a culture that is incredibly strongly rooted in heritage and religion. Being so conveniently located, guests of the Coco Tangalla have the perfect opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the culture of this beautiful country. For a cultural immersion, visit the Mulkirigala Caves which boasts the Katargama temple. Visit the nearby Galle Fort, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a multi-ethnic fort that has more recently become an oasis for some browsing and shopping within its plethora of boutiques and restaurants.

Coco Tangalla is ideal for nature lovers and appreciators, as the nearby Yala National Park contains one of the world's highest concentration of leopards. The villa is also located only 45 minutes from whale and dolphin watching sites, and near enough to turtle conservation areas. For bird watchers, the nearby Bandula Bird Sanctuary boasts a large proportion of over 100 indigenous species, the area is truly a nature-lovers tropical paradise.

When to go

Sri Lanka possesses a rather complex climate for such a small island, this is due to it being affected by 2 separate monsoons. However, this means that when one area of the island is experiencing bad weather, another part will have good weather. The weather patterns typically vary on an annual basis. it is generally considered that the best time to visit the South Coast in terms of weather conditions, is from December to March. Humidity is high everywhere and all the time.

Important Information

Entry to the property is at ground level which can be suitable for wheel chairs.
