About Singita Ebony Lodge
Ebony, Singita's original Lodge, is situated in the heart of the Sabi Sands Reserve set on the banks of the Sand River under the shade of enormous jackalberry trees in the heart of South Africa's big cat country. This exclusive lodge has 12 stunning suites with magnificent views overlooking the bushveld. En-suite bathrooms, an indoor-outdoor shower, private heated plunge pools, and spacious game viewing decks complete the luxurious accommodation.
Spacious interiors which are styled with a varied mix of rich colours, boast timeworn colonial furniture and ethnic crafts which merge with hand-woven fabric to form inviting textures and layers, making Singita Ebony Lodge an ideal retreat to enjoy the true "armchair safari".
The lodge offers game drives twice daily which are accompanied by expert guides, to find and track the Big Five which are found in the area. If you are feeling adventurous head out on foot for a nature walk through the bush with an expert guide, also on offer is archery, biking and community tours. For a more relaxing activity head back to the lodge and indulge in a massage, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your room.

When to go
Southern Africa is a year-round destination. Traditionally the dry winter months (April to October) are best for game viewing, due to the shorter grass, lack of foliage and the absence of water which forces the game to concentrate around the remaining sources of drinking water. Annual rainfall, usually in the form of short afternoon thunder showers that clear up within an hour, occur from December to March. Many species give birth to their young around the start of the rains, so the bush is alive with newborn animals.
Singita Ebony Lodge is in a malarial zone so it is essential to ensure that you take appropriate prophylactics. It is also recommended that you consult your doctor/physician before travelling.
Please remember that you need at least 2 blank visa pages in your passport for travel.
Accommodation at Singita Boulders & Ebony Lodges includes:
All meals and beverages (including premium wines, spirits and liqueurs, but excluding French Champagne)
Twice daily open Land Rover safaris, walking safaris, mountain biking safaris (accompanied by experienced guides and trackers), archery
