About Eagles Crag Lodge
Tucked away from others and surrounded by imposing but enchanting mountain cliffs, Eagles Crag expresses an ambience amid natures beauty.
Exclusive suites fashioned in African thatch, glass and stone, offer guests expansive views of the surrounding rock faces, where the eagles soar. Each suite is a secluded haven in which to unwind into sheer comfort.
Here you will be provided with home grown, organic produce. This is because at Eagles Crag they aim to support the local communities and farmers in order to ensure sustainable development between Eagles Crag and the community, allowing it to constantly evolve.
Eagles Crag Lodge is made up of nine detached suites which can accommodate a maximum of two guests per suite. There are seven king bedded junior suites and two twin bedded junior suites. Each air-conditioned suite has a private plunge pool with deck and bird spotting scope.
Shamwari, meaning "My friend" in Shona, is the pinnacle of private game reserves and home to the coveted Big 5. Stretching 25,000 hectares over a malaria free landscape, it offers an award-winning nature experience and is one of the largest private conservation initiatives in Southern Africa.
Shamwari is a place where guests can exist in harmony with nature, however fleeting the moment, where wildlife freely roam the landscape under the relentless African sun. Shamwari incorporates five lodges, one villa and one explorer camp; each one unique in its own style. Lodges are designed in harmony with their surroundings where guests can experience nature in sublime comfort.

When to go
Eagles Crag Lodge is open all year round.
April/May through to August is winter and September through to April/May is summer.
Shamwari Game Reserve is in a malaria free zone.
Guests may enter and exit the game reserve at any time however we do suggest that you arrive in time for lunch on the day of arrival so that you not to miss out on any game drives during your stay.
Travelling with children
Children aged 12 and over are welcome.
Persons 12 years and older are considered adults and will therefore require their own room/suite at the applicable rates.
