How to get there
Alphonse Island is a 60-minute flight from the Seychelles capital of MahÃ©. There is a weekly scheduled flight departing from MahÃ© every Saturday at 11:00, with the return flight departing from Alphonse Island at 12:30. Additional flights might be added on over periods of high demand, or alternatively Alphonse Island is also accessible through private charter flights. Guests are required to fly into MahÃ© at least 4 hours before the flight is scheduled to depart.
When to go
The lodge is closed in June and July. It is recommended to ask for advice about when to go as it may depend on your specific interests.
The Seychelles is blessed with year round sunny weather with temperatures seldom dropping below 22Â°C (72Â°F).
The North-West trade winds prevails from December to March, which are the hottest and wettest months with humidity averaging 65%. Tropical rain showers are usually short and sharp, doing nothing to dampen your spirits or a day out and about.
There is no malaria in the Seychelles and no vaccinations are required. Alphonse Island does not have any cyclones, busy roads or dangerous animals, and the ocean around the lodge is tranquil and calm.
