Wilderness Tubu Tree

Hunda Island

Tubu Tree lies on the remote Hunda Island, the largest area of permanently dry land in this region of the Okavango Delta. As its name implies, it lies in the dappled shade of large trees. It has a raised dining and lounge area, pool and open bar areas almost within the canopy of a marula tree and looking out over a grassy floodplains. The whole camp is connected by raised wooden boardwalks so that one can literally wander amongst the leaves. Hunda Island is known for its concentrations of game and offers both spectacular wildlife viewing on land, and tranquil adventures on the water. This combination of activities makes Tubu a complete Delta adventure. The camp can accommodate 16 guests and 2 children. There are eight canvas tented rooms including one honeymoon tent with a king sized bed and one family unit which consists of two interconnected rooms with their own bathroom and entrance, a communal area and sharing deck.
