About The Lindis
The Lindis is a carefully crafted luxury boutique hotel, created on its own site of over 6,000 acres and surrounded on three sides by conservation parks. With spectacular views comprised of snow-capped mountains, wetland, tussock grasslands and beech forests, it is clear to see how New Zealand has a reputation for housing some of the worlds most beautiful luxury lodges.
Nestled underneath a magnificent sweeping roof that blends seamlessly into the natural landscape, five luxury suites are cocooned in glass, enabling you to take in the awe-inspiring surroundings at any opportunity. The Lindis provides a carefully curated experience, with a team of professional hospitality specialists striving to combine exquisite buildings, spectacular views, fine dining and exceptional wines and activities to create truly unforgettable memories.
Make the most of the beautiful surroundings by horseback, mountain biking or hiking up into the hills, or take advantage of one of the top 10 fly fishing locations in the world, just a short amble from the lodge. Alternatively, cuddle up beside a fire and watch the merino sheep and angus bulls graze around you.
The Lindis is located in the serene Ahuriri Valley in North Otago, on New Zealands South Island.
How to get there
When to go
The weather tends to be pretty unpredictable. That said, it means that you can go at any time of year and still get glorious days. At the bottom of the world (or top, depending on how you look at it!) the seasons are opposite to the Northern Hemisphere's and most people who visit New Zealand choose to go during their summer season, which is December through February.
The risks to health whilst travelling will vary between individuals and many issues need to be taken into account, e.g. activities abroad, length of stay and general health of the traveller. It is recommended that you consult with your General Practitioner or Practice Nurse 6-8 weeks in advance of travel.
