The Marlborough Lodge is located at the top of New Zealand's South Island, in the beautiful Marlborough region â famous for its world-class wine, beautiful Marlborough Sounds and having the sunniest climate in New Zealand.
Nestled in the heart of the Marlborough's scenic vineyards on 16 acres of established gardens, the lodge is 10 minutes drive from Blenheim township, 20 minutes from Picton coastal township and the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, 90 minutes from Nelson and 4 hours from Christchurch.

Located on Rapaura Road, the lodge is just 5 minutes from State Highway 1 to Christchurch and State Highway 6 to Nelson.
When to go
The weather tends to be pretty unpredictable. That said, it means that you can go at any time of year and still get glorious days. At the bottom of the world (or top, depending on how you look at it!) the seasons are opposite to the Northern Hemisphereâs and most people who visit New Zealand choose to go during their summer season, which is December through February.
