When to go
New Zealand does not have a large temperature range, lacking the extremes found in most continental climates. However, New Zealand weather can change unexpectedlyâas cold fronts or tropical cyclones quickly blow in. Because of this, you should be prepared for sudden changes in weather!
The risks to health whilst travelling will vary between individuals and many issues need to be taken into account, e.g. activities abroad, length of stay and general health of the traveller. It is recommended that you consult with your General Practitioner or Practice Nurse 6-8 weeks in advance of travel. They will assess your particular health risks before recommending vaccines and /or antimalarial tablets.
Travelling with children
Children are welcome at Eagle's Nest, and cots and high chairs are available free of charge if pre-booked.
