Day 1 - 4: South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

  • This camp is known for its views over the river, and the location offers prolific leopard sightings
  • Spot a porcupine and other nocturnal animals on a night drive

Known for its abundance of animals, South Luangwa’s rivers are often overflowing with hippos.

Fly into Lusaka and catch a domestic flight to Mfuwe Airport, from where you’ll be privately transferred to Kakuli Bush Camp. Call this camp home for three nights and enjoy incredible views over the Luangwa River. During the day, head out on game drives for your chance to tick four of the Big Five off your list. Return to the plains at night to see nocturnal wildlife scenes such as a hunting pride of lions or a glimpse of a leopard. For those wishing to explore the bush on foot, follow your guide on a walking safari to get up close to the wildlife of the bush.

Day 4 - 7: South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

  • Join top guides on walking safaris, tracking lions and wild dogs on foot
  • Sleep under the stars for a breathtaking experience

Whilst hippos populate the river at large, South Luangwa’s woodland savannah attracts hundreds of wonderful bird species, rare giraffes and herds of elephants.

Travel to a different corner of South Luangwa National Park where you’ll spend three nights at Luwi Bush Camp, nestled right on the riverbanks of the Luwi River and a walking safari heaven famous for sightings of lions and wild dogs. Aside from heading out on expertly guided game drives during the day and night, don’t miss the opportunity to spend a night under the stars in a dry riverbed. Here, enjoy being serenaded to sleep by the distant sound of roaring lions before waking to a delicious bush breakfast.

Day 7 - 11: Likoma Island, Malawi

  • Pay a visit to the local market to see handmade chitenge fabric
  • Learn to dive in the most beautiful setting at the PADI diving school

One of only two inhabited islands in Lake Malawi, Likoma is surrounded by crystal clear waters and sandy beaches.

Take an international flight to Likoma Island in the middle of Lake Malawi. Here, you’ll spend four nights at Kaya Mawa, one of the world’s most romantic destinations. After your time in the bush, enjoy sand and sun on the private beach under the shade of the mango trees.
This beautiful lakeside location equals great water sports opportunities, with the choices on offer ranging from paddle boarding and kayaking to kite surfing and waterskiing.
