We saw a ton of wildlife, ate amazing food and were taken care of in the most perfect way -- every need was met but no over the top attention that distracted from our family spending time together.

About Saruni Wild
Saruni Wild is a three-tented camp elegantly and comfortably furnished with all the necessary luxuries of a wild yet classic safari â hot water showers, flushing loos, open safari vehicles, Italian-inspired cuisine and exceptional service. The camp is located right in the heart of the Mara plains in a forest populated by abundant âplains gameâ and right in front of the migration hotspots. Enjoy uninterrupted views from your private veranda, fire-lit meals under the vast African sky, guided game drives in complete seclusion led by Maasai warriors. Saruni Wildâs prime location is ideal for game-viewing, bird watching, star-gazing and for being immersed in nature - a truly unique and life-enriching safari experience of the remarkable Masai Mara, off the beaten tracks.
Saruni Wild is 8km away from Saruni lodge in the Masai Mara ecosystem, Kenya. It is the Northernmost camp within the Mara North Conservancy, set within a territory known with the name of the family that owns it: Yaile.
This area is the key dispersal zone for the annual “Great Migration” and supports an extensive variety of additional species, the most recognizable include lion, cheetah, leopard, buffalo, hyena, elephant, crocodile, wild dog, giraffe, hippopotamus, and over 450 bird species. The scenery ranges from the rolling hills dotted with acacias, made famous by endless wildlife documentaries, to the lesser known mountains, rivers and valleys where the vegetation can be very green and lush.
The highlight of the Masai Mara is the famous annual migration of wildebeest that move north from the Serengeti in Tanzania each July-August in search of fresh grazing. After remaining here for three or four months they return south in October before the beginning of the rainy season. Watching millions of these animals traveling en mass is truly a humbling experience for human observers.
The Masai Mara is, above all, the home of the Masai, a traditional semi-nomadic people known for their beauty, intelligence and a deep love and understanding of the African wilderness.
