About Ol Donyo
Ol Donyo Lodge is set on 275,000 acres nestled in the foothills of the Chyulus with views over the plains to Mount Kilimanjaro, the lodge blends seamlessly into the landscape. Combining contemporary design with rich Maasai culture each of ol Donyoâs villas and suits are individually styled and decorated, each room has their own plunge pool and enjoy roof terraces where intimate âstar bedsâ can be set up, allowing guests the thrill of sleeping in style under the african sky.
There are a variety of activities available from the lodge, horse riding, guided bush walks, twice daily game drives and for children a personal guide can be provided who can provide a number of fun activities for your little one including bush survival course to name a few. After a full day of activities guests find themselves relaxing in the lodge pool and enjoying much needed sundowners on the deck overlooking the plains.
ol Donyo Lodge is situated on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills, with exclusive access to a quarter of a million acres of one of the few remaining wilderness areas of East Africa. The open plains, rolling Chyulu Hills and snow capped peak of Kilimanjaro invoke images of Africa as it was in the earlier part of the last century; wildlife and Maasai herdsman living as nature determined they should in this unspoilt corner of Kenya. ol Donyo Lodge in Maasai means “The Spotted Hills”, and is the name given by the Maasai to the Chyulu Range which runs between Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks. ol Donyo Lodge is looked after by Richard and Tara Bonham with a team of dedicated and friendly staff.
