About Kipalo Hills Lodge
This elegantly simple camp is the perfect destination for guests looking to relax and enjoy the nature around them. Perfectly situated in the Kipalo Hills guests will wake up and go to bed overlooking the vast plains of the Mbulia Conservancy below. The watering hole that can be seen from the campsite means that while youâre having your morning cup of tea, you can watch the animals coming for a refreshing drink too. Something that is incredibly special about this location and the water hole below it is that it attracts leopards which are one of Africaâs most elusive predators.
Kipalo offers 8 spacious double tents with ensuite bathrooms fitted with a flushing loo and a traditional style safari shower. Aside from the camping there is a comfortable and airy lounge area and a cooling swimming pool for guests. The food at Kipalo is raved about â and rightly so. The chef only uses fresh ingredients and brings a creative yet, wholesome edge to the food served and this reflects in the reaction of the clients.
A real benefit of staying at Kipalo hills is that you clients have the opportunity to explore both the Tsavo East and Tsavo West national parks. The Tsavo region is vast with varied landscapes and is home to an enormous variety of animals and birds. Each tent will come complete with a bird list which adds an exciting edge to your walk to the camp.
The Tsavo National Park is in the South East of Kenya. The Kipalo Hills beautifully set overlooking the Nguia Mountains and Mt. Kilimanjaro. The tents are perched on the hills so as to give the guests a spectacular view of the planes below. The campsite is perfectly located in between Tsavo East and Tsavo West which gives guests the opportunity to explore both areas.

In order to travel to Kenya, clients need two blank pages in their passport, for stamps, and to make sure that their passport has at least six months left of validity.
Clients do need a visa to enter Kenya. We would recommend purchasing this online before you travel for ease. However, you can also acquire a visa on arrival to Kenya.
We recommend that clients visit their GP at least 2 months before travelling in case they need any injections or malaria tablets.
We ask that all clients are respectful of the people and the places they visit. Before taking photos of the locals, people in uniform or public buildings please ask your guide if this is ok.
Travelling with children
Children are welcome at Kipalo Hills but there are no specific facilities for children or babies. A babysitter can be available upon request which makes Kipalo a great place for families.
