  • Fly fish for the world renowned tigerfish that are abundant in the waters around the lodge

Merge island life with safari experiences by staying at an exclusive island lodge in the very heart of the Delta’s waterways.

Fly into Maun to catch a scheduled charter flight to Nxamaseri Island Lodge and enjoy an exclusive island experience in the middle of the waters of the Okavango. Engage your fighting spirit by spending time on the water fly fishing for the aggressive tigerfish; or take advantage of the remote location to watch the wealth of birdlife that congregate along the waterways, from African fish eagles to Pel’s fishing owl. Take a scenic helicopter flight over the Delta to understand the extent of this vast landscape and follow the movement of the game below from the sky.

Day 4-7

MOREMI GAME RESERVE, Botswana

  • Let your safari experience be dictated by the daily movements of the Delta’s wildlife
  • Take a boat trip down the Delta’s waterways to get up close to aquatic wildlife scenes such as bathing hippos

Live as the wildlife does by following the animals through the plains with a stay at an authentic mobile safari camp

Take a scheduled charter flight to Moremi to experience a fully mobile safari that follows game through the plains – a once in a lifetime experience that allows guests to experience constantly changing environments. Join our friends and top guides John and James, heading out on game drives that are dictated by audible wildlife activity from the night before to always be one step ahead of the crowds. Explore the Delta’s aquatic life on a tranquil boat trip around its many waterways, following elephants and hippos who have come to play at the water’s edge.

Day 7-10

MAKGADIKGADI SALT PANS, Botswana

  • Explore a different side of Botswana’s wilderness by exploring desert wildlife
  • Join the Zu/’hoasi Bushmen on bush walks through the desert

Experience Botwana’s lunar desert landscape for a magical change of scenery, and see how the wildlife has adapted to life in the Pans.

Take a privately chartered flight from the Delta to Makgadikgadi National Park to experience a completely different landscape to the flooded Delta. Stay at Camp Kalahari on Brown Hyena Island,  to feel completely surrounded by wildlife and local bushmen. Set off on game drives to spot desert wildlife such as waterbuck or brown hyena, gallop across the pans on horseback following bushbuck, or zoom across the salts on a quad bike adventure. Encounter a family of local meerkats as you get up close whilst they forage for their breakfast.

The Pitchers

We had the most amazing time! John Barclay and his team were very special and the mobile safari exclusive and superb. Moremi was very quiet with few other tourists – no more than a dozen other vehicles seen in four days. Macatoo was also excellent with good riding and game. We were so grateful for the help that you offered when our BA flights went wrong. Many thanks again for the superb service and recommendations which made for a great holiday.
