India

Rajasthan is located on the north-western side of the country and covers 10.4% of India. However despite its large size, it is largely covered by the Great Indian Desert, Thar. The Thar Desert runs parallel to the Sutlej-Indus river valley. The most popular destinations include Jaipur, known as The Pink City of India, Udaipur, known as the Venice of the East, Jodhpur, Agra, and in eastern Rajasthan, the Keoladeo National Park near Bharatpur, a World Heritage Site known for its bird life. Rajasthan is also home to two national tiger reserves, the Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur and Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar.
