Wild and wooly Northern Iceland is a part of the country most people do not get the opportunity to see. However, we think making the journey here is well worth the expedition, stopping at some outdoor swimming pools along your way. Little light pollution means this corner of Iceland is where you are most likely to see the Northern Lights. During the day there is plenty to see and do; surfing in the Arctic, snorkelling with puffins, snowmobiling and horse riding to name a little. Not yet sold? It is also home to our favourite Icelandic property, Deplar Farm.
