How to get there
With daily flights from both Maun International Airport (MUB) and other parts of Botswana, the camp is easily accessible for travellers. On arrival at the private Vumbura Airstrip guests are met by their guide and transferred 45 minutes by can then boat.
When to go
The camp is open year round. The hottest time of the year in the Delta is December to February, where the temperatures can reach 40 degrees Celcius, with very high humidity levels. Between December and March there can be very heavy afternoon rain, so the climate is very varied. The best time of year to visit the area with minimal rainfall is between March to December.
For all guests, anti-malaria tablets are advisable all year round. We would strongly recommend that you check with your physician for prophylaxis advice, as this can vary depending on the person in questions. Insect repellents are provided by the lodge but we would recommend that long sleeves and trousers are worn in the evenings and mornings.
Travelling with children
Children over 12 years old are welcome in the camp.
