About Kings Pool Camp
This stylish camp, named after Scandinavian royalty, overlooks the oxbow-shaped Kings Pool Lagoon in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve bordering Chobe National Park. The lounge and dining areas are set on expansive decks that echo the natural space, and there is a pool and an open-air boma a for fine evening dining under the stars. End the day with sundowners on the elegant, colonial-style Queen Sylvia as she cruises down the Linyanti River.
This camp can accommodate 18 guest and 2 children. It consists of seven twin-bedded tents, one double tent and one family unit. The family unit is two tented rooms that are interlinked with a walkway. They have their own bathrooms and entrances. The luxury tented rooms are under thatch and on a raised deck. There are elevated wooden walkways between the tented rooms and the lounge area.
The en-suite bedrooms come equipped with separate toilet, double vanity hand basin, outdoor shower, electronic safe, mini-bar, hairdryer, mosquito net, tea and coffee making facilities, Swarovski binoculars (on request), exercise mat and weights, sala and private plunge pools. During the winter months hot water bottles are extra blankets are provided.
The area around Kings Pool is home to large elephant herds that traverse the area – especially in the winter months – together with wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, steenbok, warthog and roan. Predators such as lion, leopard, spotted hyena and wild dog all follow. Two hides, one with the water at eyelevel, are perfect places to spend your siesta: elephant feet and trunks almost within touching distance
