About Gomoti Plains Camp
Built on a permanent waterway close to the Gomoti River this refreshingly different camp combined classic tented safari with a modern twist. Large spacious tents do away with the traditional dark wood and heavy furniture that you find in many camps and instead uses light bright furniture. The perfect destination for design-conscious travellers. You will feel the African sun, relax to the sounds of the rippling river and experience the African wildlife with close-up encounters to remember forever. When combined with a large 200 kilometer private concession and fantastic wildlife this new camp is certainly one to be reckoned with.
Located in the Southeastern section of the Okavango Delta near the Gomoti River and in its own private concession Gomoti Plains camp is a fantastic blend of water and land activities in a stunning location.
How to get there
Accessible by light aircraft only, Gomoti Plains camp can be reached from Maun (MUB) or from other different safari destinations around Botswana daily.
When to go
The best time for Safari in Botswana is during the dry season. Between March and September where cooler dryer temperatures make for perfect game driving conditions.
October through to February tends to be hotter and with a higher chance of rain, however, visiting at this time of year does hold advantages in that it is that fewer travellers and fantastic bird life combine to make for a fantastic experience.
The camp boasts ten luxury safari tents of which two are family tents. Raised on wooden decks for enhanced views the camp combines classic safari style with a modern touch. All tents are equipped with hot and cold running water, indoor and outdoor showers, flush toilets as well as universal charging points.
Travelling with children
Gomoti Plains welcomes children of all ages. Families with young children are required to include a private vehicle in their stay.
