Kigali, Volcanoes National Park, Bwindi Impentrable National Park, Kibale National Park
Day 1-2
KIGALI, Rwanda
Support the local community by visiting a library that was opened by an NGO to encourage reading
Navigate the vibrant Kimironko Market, filled with traditional woven baskets
Arrive into Kigali as your first stop where you’ll spend one night at Kigali Serena Hotel. Rest your head with this overnight stop before heading out on safari, but make the most of your time to explore the city. Learn about the country’s painful history as your private guide shows you around the city, with an informative stop at Kigali Genocide Museum not to be missed. Spend some time wandering around the Natural History Museum for a showcase of Rwanda’s national treasures and ancient colonial artefacts. Pay a visit to the Nyamirambo Women’s Center to support local artisans and pick up some home decor products to show off in your house upon your return.
Day 2-5
VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK, Rwanda
The world-famous home of the mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, Volcanoes National Park is a stunning area of rainforests.
Meet your private guide who’ll drive you to Volcanoes National Park for your two-night stay at Bisate Lodge. Tick off your bucket list by embarking on a gorilla trek for stunning up-close encounters with these majestic apes, followed by the chance to meet the colourful golden monkeys who call the park’s bamboo forest home. For an unforgettable encounter, a guided tour into the local community is not to be missed, where you will be able to meet the farmers who cultivate and sell their vegetables to Bisate.
Day 4-6
BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK, Uganda
Stay in a primaeval forest, home to over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Rather than sitting in a car for nine hours, embark on a six-hour guided walking transfer across the border into Uganda. Once here, you’ll spend two nights at Clouds Lodge. Nestled within the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, at 7,000 feet in the sky, you’ll be able to engage in even more mountain gorilla trekking from your doorstep. For those looking for a more intensive gorilla programme, upgrade to a gorilla habituation experience. Keen birders will be similarly enthralled by the 350 species of birds that call the park home.
Day 6-9
KIBALE NATIONAL PARK, Uganda
A national park made up of tropical forests, woodland, and savannah, and the famous home of the wild chimpanzees.
Board a quick domestic flight to Kibale National Park to stay three nights at the comfortable Ndali Lodge – an amazing base from which to trek for chimpanzees. The park is home to the highest population of chimps in Africa, creating plenty of opportunities to spot these incredible apes, as well as other primates, birds, and butterflies on your walks. We can also arrange for you to visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to discover rarely seen birds such as the white-winged warbler and grey parrot. Similarly, learn about the production of vanilla and taste local produce whilst visiting local farms. After your adventures, travel to Entebbe, Uganda, to catch your flight home.

We were so impressed with the standards here, particularly the level of service. The gorillas, of course blew us away and the whole trip was a truly spectacular wildlife experience.
